Alfredo Muñoz

Hi, I’m Alfredo! I’m a Master of Public Policy candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School. I am a recent graduate of Juilliard Extension and The League of American Orchestra’s Essentials of Orchestra Management program and a Social Impact MBA candidate at Boston University’ Questrom School of Business. I am particularly driven to create social, financial, and cultural change by bringing a creative’s viewpoint to problem solving. I am fueled by the idea of building a bridge between business and culture, going beyond corporate social responsibility, and creating shared value for greater impact in the world. I strongly believe in doing good in business while doing good in the world. But most importantly, my life’s work is committed to helping others reach their goals to the highest fidelity possible.

A native of Costa Mesa, California, and a First-Generation Mexican-American, I am the byproduct of a holistic arts education and community programs that have afforded me a varied and successful career, traversing both profit and not for profit organizations. I am humbled by the powerful connections and life-changing mentors that have helped to propel me and my artistic career forward - domestically and internationally. I am truly grateful for my rigorous musical and academic training. It was in music school where I learned some of the most important skills that have influenced myT-shaped management style in helping lead mission driven organizations.

Most recently, I served as Corporate Relations Manager for Boston Ballet, where I oversaw the development of strategic partnerships with corporate partners on the local, national, and international levels. While working in SaaS business development for Poppulo, I served as a founding member and officer for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) employee resource group, where I oversaw the creation and implementation of DEI strategic programming.

  • Verne Q. Powell Flutes (Maynard, MA)

  • Pacific Chorale (Costa Mesa, CA)

  • Pacific Symphony (Irvine, CA)

  • Baroque Music Festival Corona Del Mar (Newport Beach, CA)

Prior to my business career, I was a professional flutist. I worked as an educator at the Academy of Performing Arts in Huntington Beach, CA as well as a freelance musician throughout Southern California. Some of the organizations I have worked with include the Bellflower Symphony Orchestra, Da Capo Players, Corona Symphony Orchestra, Laguna Beach Concert Band, Southern California Flute Academy, and more.

I am a graduate from Boston University with a Social Impact Master of Business Administration and California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance.I am a cat-dad to a very loving tuxedo cat, Harrison Phillip.

I would love to hear from you
